ARCH-WAY FOR OUR ENTRANCE GATE

About 50 years ago an arched structure adorned the gateway of the path up to our church.

It was made of wrought iron and had an ancient lantern set into its centre to illuminate the pathway at night.

Rumour has it that it was 'terminally' damaged during a wedding prank! Nowadays, all that remains are the bolts on the tops of the gate pillars which supported it.
